Initially Muara Angke Wildlife Sanctuary established as nature reserves by the Dutch on June 17, 1939, with initial area 15.04 ha.
Later this area was expanded to around the 1960's has an area of 1344.62 ha and is now down to 25.02 ha due to increased pressure from parties who are only concerned with profits and environmental damage in and around the area of Muara Angke.
It was very sad to see the area is now surrounded by exclusive residential beach reclamation project due not to consider the reduction in mangrove forests as a bulwark against the erosion of Jakarta coastal sea water and the destruction of mangrove forest ecosystems.
I'm back here to re-learned taking pictures of animal in the wild and of course the original art photograp, was very disappointed when I saw this wildlife sanctuary now than when I first visited 20 years ago but I've promised myself to return learn photography with [link]
and offer the best .....
